It had taken him a long, long time. But it was done now, and he was very impressed with it. Especially the scrolly thing at the bottom. It was simple, yes, and so far only a single page, but it looked good, and besides, just having a website was enough of a step-forward.
True, there wasn't really any of the pubs contact details, save the address and his personal mobile number, but most people wouldn't need to contact the pub anyway, they'd just turn up. He'd add contact details later, perhaps. And maybe even a page of reviews, if he had the chance. But it probably wasn't necessary. In Studentsville, news tended to spread faster by word-of-mouth than by printed reviews in newspapers.
He leant away for his desk, glancing towards the carefully shuttered windows. Midday was far too bright for him to go out. But at 5pm, the sun would be setting, and he could finish his errands for the day before opening up properly. He needed more staff. Maybe the website would generate a few applicants. Otherwise, he'd have to talk to the Smiths about it. Get a few more of the new arrivals employed within the community, than sort of thing.
Almost midday. He wondered if Mikael was on lunch break or not, and if he was, how he'd react to a call...
